Perry and Miller Christmas
The Miller side of the family is much like the Walsh side, very big. Grandma and Grandpa Miller fell in love and had six children. Grandma Miller was taken from us way too young, my mother was 7 when she lost her mother. Grandpa Miller fell in love again and had two more children and someone to mother and love his existing children. I never knew my mother's mom but I know the Grandma Miller I know has always loved my mom and her whole family. Grandpa Miller is no longer with us. He is probably watching over us but would like us to learn from our own mistakes. He has a wonderful sense of humor, I think that's why Michael and him got along so well!
I learned a lesson this year. 5 month old babies and her parents can't do a marathon of gatherings. We had two Saturday, one Sunday, two Monday and Three today! Next year we'll have to figure something out because it was way too many and I was tired at the Miller gathering we didn't get to stay long and I didn't (shock) get out my camera a first!
We did have fun at my Mom and Dad's. Cadence got a cozy blanket from Auntie Cassandra and Uncle Rob which Michael may try to steal. She also got her very first stocking from Santa at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Santa used to visit Grammie and Poppie's house for me when I was younger.

Walsh Immediate Christmas
Michael has two brothers, which I've blogged about in past posts. He's the oldest. Brian is the middle child and Lee's the baby. Lee's in his second year of Law School at FSU and has no steady girlfriend but seems to have alot of girls that he's friends with! Brian is married with four children. Brian and Cherie met the modern way, online. She took the leap of faith and moved from Utah to Michigan with here three kids in 2003. They've since married and had Ava.
Michael's parents are very fun. Cindy and I get along so well some people guess I'm her actual daughter! We are alot alike, I guess it's good I'd like myself :) Leon has a goofy sense of humor and likes to tease and play with the kids. Holidays are always an adventure. The kids love it because they are way spoiled!
This was the year of ipod. All the older grandkids got one and Cindy and Leon got one too!
Law Christmas
Grandpa Law is no longer with us but I like to think that he's looking down on us. I loved him just as I love the grandparents I grew up with all my life. He is probably very entertained by all of our antics!
This year was a warm and close Christmas. Everyone was in good spirits and so smiley in the pictures. Looking back on past years that's not always the case so this was an especially good year!
Michael and I had fun picking out just the right gift for Grandma Law this year. She turned 75 and it's Christmas so we combined the two and she got what every girl needs, something from Tiffany's.

Walsh Extended Christmas Gathering
The last Sunday before Christmas all the Walshes from far and wide gather to share a meal and time together. Grandma and Grandpa Walsh had 8 beautiful children. Those children met loves along the way and had their own children. The baby has just one, which is also the baby of the grandchildren. Others had two, three or four!
Some of the grandchildren found love and have had children of their own. Now Grandma and Grandpa Walsh are blessed with great-grandchildren. You can imagine the crowd we are now. We've had gatherings at churches, homes, country clubs and restaurants. It's nice to stay longer and visit when it's at a home, but easier to clean up when it's at a restaurant!
Not everyone made it this year but almost everyone did, we missed really missed Stacey (she's very pregnant and we are praying for her boys), Paul and kids. Overall the gathering was really good.
Chris and Randy hosted and served moist Delicious infused turkey and signature drinks. They went over the top with hosting duties and everyone had so much fun. The garage was converted into a man room so they could watch sports. The weather was pretty frigid so the men spent allot of time indoors!
There are too many pictures to include them all so hear are some of my favorites! Leon is always so worried about Cadence's feet getting cold. Can you see him rubbing them warm!

Cadence is Baptized!
I wish now that I had invited my extended family. I didn't realize that so many people would like to have come. Some came anyway to the church but they got away before I could invite them to lunch after at Dolce Vita. I guess for our next baby I will know, and invite all my mom's family!
Cadence was baptized at Trinity, where my Grandparents, Parents, Sister and I were baptized. It's wonderful to stay in the community. If we move closer to Monroe I'd love for Cadence to attend Sunday school at Trinity. I was very involved in the church before I moved away and really enjoyed it.

The Box
Alley is obsessed with boxes. She loves it when we bring them home from Costco or packages. She loves Christmas because of the many box opportunities. We also found out today that Cadence loves boxes too! All those expensive toys and what is she happiest to play with, toilet paper rolls and boxes :) Ah to be a baby again and find joy in such simple pleasures.

Cassandra's Big Haircut
My sister is a beautiful girl. She has those nice eyebrows that people try to get through waxing and tweezing, but she was born with them. She has fair skin and bright green eyes. What she doesn't have is a sense of when to trim her hair! She has full body semi-curly hair. And she has let it grow and grow to past her waist.
Cindy volunteered to give her a trim and she looks amazing! Her hair was looking brittle and split before but it's now so healthy or just gorgeous! She used to always wear it up in a bun but I have a feeling she'll wear it down now.
Cadence got to hang with Uncle Lee during the cut too. He's home from Law School in florida. Cadence is going to be tall like her Uncle Lee, she's 75% for height so far. She definately doesn't get it from me :)
Michael has been working alot so I'm taking that time to cart Cadence around to visit relatives. Everyone knows I'm not shy and it's great for Cadence to see as many different people as possible. I'd like to have her be outgoing and comfortable in big social gatherings since Christmas is just around the corner.
