Purple Monster

Today Cadence got a new toy. If you know Michael you know that he can be pretty picky on things. And things that make loud noises are not usually on his must buy list.

Well Cadence adores her new purple monster (that's what we call it even if it's not purple!) and smiles and laughs when you play it. So Michael now loves the purple monster too.

Fussy baby + Purple Monster = No problem!

Thanks Grandma Peggy for bringing it to us, we certainly would not of bought it on our own.

Blue Eyes

Wow! Cadence has the bluest eyes. I always imagined she'd get green eyes like her mommy and daddy but nope they are staying true blue! You can see the has more chompers in there now too. So far no bites for mommy!

Cindy is 49!

Cindy was 50 last year so now she's decided to go backwards instead of forwards! This birthday was particularly laid back and really fun. We don't get see Ava very often and usually it's with the whole extended family. Since this was just the immediate family Cadence and Ava got some good one on one interaction. They are really cute together. Cadence loves other small children.

Cindy had a good birthday with monster size Costco cupcakes. Rachel, Nate and Madison loved the huge portion! Even though they getting older they still love the sweets. And still have fun hanging out with family. Cherie couldn't make it she had to stay home and study, with four kids she probably appreciated the quiet house!

I learned that Ava is quit the picky eater. The older kids play tea at home to get her to eat. I told this story to my mom and she said sounds like Ava has then wrapped around her finger! I'm not surprised she is a cutie :)

Cadence has fun crawling everywhere. She loves to crawl and get into anything she can now! Doug stopped by at the end and Anna was face painted as a kitty! It looked very good, I'm surprised she could sit still that long. She's usually so full of energy :)

Ruffles and Stipes

I used to think that I wouldn't promote a girlie girl. I wanted a child who excelled in math and science like I did and who was athletic. Then I realized I'm still a girlie girl so my baby can be too. I found the cutest ruffle bottoms at Nordstrum. I looked everywhere for a pair after seeing someone else's baby pics and finally located a pair for Cadence's professional 6 month pics.

My favorite baby boutique is in Plymouth, Mia Bellas. They have super cute and unique baby items. I picked up a pair of baby legs, these striped leg warmers. They are perfect for my little crawler and scooter. Plus she looks cute!
